The construction of Shenyang Xiannvhe Wastewater Treatment Plant is a very important method launched by Shenyang municipality to enhance environment protection, improve domestic environmental quality and promote comprehensively local condition. SIAS was awarded the contract of automation and instrument in this project due to its professional project management skill, perfect technology, good service concept and reasonable price so as to gain a trust of the tendering office and owner. This success was so remarkable for SIAS since it was the first time to bid independently and win in the field of the wastewater(WW) treatment business, particularly being a general contractor!

Besides product supply, system integration and commissioning in usual contracts, this contract covers also process, PCS (process control system) design/engineering and installation, etc. The state-of-the-art technology for wastewater treatment, biologic filtration process was decided to adopt. The highlight of this process are, smaller built-up area, short retention time for WW, high efficiency, less cost and etc. Since none of us had experience in this process, it requested us to pay more attention on cooperation among various disciplines. During the project implementation, colleagues from BSU2 worked closely, visited relevant facilities before bidding, searched all information and documents in order to understand and be familiar with this new process in a short period. The goal is to figure out an optimistic PCS solution to fulfil the requirement.

As one of the 2003 model construction in Shenyang, this project has a shorter schedule but a lot of influences in the local. Parties are involved under pressure of shorter construction term and high quality expected. In the engineering phase, SIAS team members demonstrated a good team spirit with professional responsibility to overtake various difficulties and problems. They worked very hard and consulted to external experts in order to find out good ideas. Finally they completed the PDP (preliminary design proposal) within one week. On Monday morning a just print-out documents and drawings was delivered to owner on time and passed smoothly relevant owner review later on. The very tired team reached the first milestone in the project.

During bidding and implement of the project, MO, Commercial Dept., Purchase Dept. and other Dept. gave a big support and assistance. The project is currently going on the schedule. Although there were still some kinds of difficulties, they had been solved through a team cooperation. SIAS has confidence to complete this project in accordance with the contract.
