Shaoguan Iron & Steel Group Co., Ltd. is the largest iron and steel enterprise in Guangdong province and one of the most important iron and steel enterprises in South China. Blast furnace is the key infrastructure in the unified manufacturing line of iron and steel enterprises and the most concerned technical section of AS BU in iron and steel industry. This blast furnace DCS project is contracted with CISDI Engineering Co., Ltd., one of the largest blast furnace general contractors in China, and Siemens provides a complete set of SIMATIC PCS 7 V7.0 solutions from blast furnace body to common aid system for the project.

This project is the first blast furnace DCS project taking CISDI as its contractor won by Siemens in recent years, and is also the blast furnace DCS project where PCS 7 is fully applied. It will greatly influence the application of Siemens control system in iron and steel industry.
