On 1st October 2004, Peter Herweck assumed the position of General Manager of the Automation and Drives Group (A&D) and Vice-President of Siemens Ltd. China (SLC). Herweck, who previously was Vice President of the Machine Tool division at Siemens AG's A&D Motion Control, succeeds Siegfried Schmidt, who has made great contribution to A&D business successes in China, and will continue to serve as Executive Vice-President for Siemens Ltd. China and member of the SLC Management Board.
