CCMT, which was initiated in 2000 as a subsequent exhibition after successful CIMT, is organized by China Machine Tool & Tool Builders' Association. CCMT is a high quality exhibition given priority to domestic-made machine tools. On Feb. 14-17, 2006, the 4^th CCMT was held in Shanghai New International Expo Center, where more than 530 exhibitors from both domestic and abroad (84 foreign exhibitors) exhibited over 500 sets of machine tools and other large-scale manufacturing equipments.

Siemens Ltd., China A&D MC participated in this CCMT06 with the innovative product - SINUMERIK 802D sl, which was launched in China first in 2005. Both the two versions, S2 (plus) and S3 (pro), were shown at the Siemens booth. At the same time, the SINAMICS S120 new drive generation was also exhibited as well as the well-known SINUMIERIK 840D and specific solutions, JobShop, SinuTrain and Transline.

SINUMERIK 802D sl is one of the most important innovations Siemens ever made in the field of CNC system. New design structure, universal drive system platform, easy start-up, intelligent connection and Totally Integrated Automation concept, together with Siemens professional service and support, will bring the Chinese OEM customers and end-users more functionality, greater performance and increased productivity.

On Feb. 15, Siemens SINUMERIK seminar was held in the Exhibition Center, with the topic of "Siemens CNC application technology". The seminar was very well received and the meeting room was packed. Detailed and comprehensive presentations by Siemens experienced engineers were very practical and helpful for the engineers and technical workers from the factories and workshops. In the afternoon, seminars about retrofitting and service were given by SFAE engineers, which not only solved some problems of the audience, but also successfully set up good image of Siemens service.

At CCMT, Siemens showed the latest innovative products, technology, solutions and service, as well as the Siemens's continuous devotion to Chinese Machine Tool market. CCMT 2006 - a great success for Siemens.
