         From Nov. 3rd to 7th, 2004, Fuxin hotel in Qingdao, the 6th Siemens Automation Expert Meeting was ceremoniously held.

         Siemens Automation Expert Meeting, from Beijing to Chengdu, Dalian, Hangzhou, Shenzhen, then to Qingdao City, covered the 5 big regions of north, southwest, northeast, east, south of China…

         Siemens Automation Expert Meeting, from the only SIMATIC technique exchange meeting to the synthetic automation communication conference, from dozens of application thesis's gathering to hundreds of application thesis' contributing, from 1999 to today…

         Experienced her growing and developing, Siemens Automation Expert Meeting already became a golden brand in the automation and drives area. 'Expert Service, Service to Experts', the mind and spirit of Siemens Automation Expert was greatly expanded and carried out, each participate felt benefits.

         The 6th expert meeting followed the experience and success from the past 5 meetings. Especially, it innovated it's own way to meet the needs of the participants: The contents of the meeting is more abundance and rich. Before the meeting, a lot of suggestions from Siemens experts and colleagues were collected. Based on everybody' demands that the participant can more completely discussed his interested technical topics with others, the meeting innovate the model of 'Great Meeting but Focus Communication', except the opening speech, general introduction and closing speech, the meeting was broken out three sessions to communicate different topics. Relating to the former expert meetings, even more topics was communicated, more technical questions was solved in the focus sessions. In the three days of meeting, every participant got much harvest. Besides 2004 experts and Siemens colleagues, even more kinds of participants including some trade media and former Siemens automation expert meetings' experts were invited.          Thesis Collection

         As the sponsor of Siemens Automation Expert Meeting, in 2004 Expert Meeting, Siemens IA&DT Service and Customer Support department collected 202 trade theses which including different industry such as I&S, Power Plant, Chemical, Oil & Gas, PetroChe, Pharma, Cement, Building material, Paper, Transportation, Tobacco, Textile, Other machine, Automobile, Others, Logistic, Water, etc. The application theses referred to a lot of different products from the total seven different business units of Siemens including AS, SD, LD, MC, CD, PI, ET… After the graveness looking through and discussion of engineers, the meeting chose 98 excellent thesis which were edited to a book named '2004 Siemens Automation Expert Theses' with 752 pages and invited about 80 authors of the excellent theses who were authorized by the name of '2004 Siemens Automation Expert' to attend the meeting.

         'Great Meeting but Focus Communication'

         2004 Siemens Automation Expert Meeting was held in the Fuxin Hotel of Qingdao.

         The meeting lasted 3 days, The first day is the opening ceremony and the introduction of new products and new technology form business units of Siemens IA&DT; The second day is the experts day which focused the sharing from the experts' presentation; The third day is aiming for the discussion of different topics, 'Best Thesis' award and lucky draw.

         The three days in Qingdao seemed to be not cold but warm because of the 2004 Siemens Automation Expert Meeting. On 3rd of November, Mr. Wang Wei, the section manager of Siemens IA&DT Customer Support department CS2, moderate the meeting. Mr. Wang Ping, the general manager of Siemens IA&DT Customer Support department, and Mr. An Xiaojie, the general manager of Siemens IA&DT Automation System department, gave the opening speech to all. Mr. Wang Ping reviewed oral-formulaic expert meeting and emphasized the concept of 'Service Innovation' and 'Expert Service, Service to Experts'. And Mr. An Xiaojie then expressed the feeling to expert meeting and welcomed the attendance of all participants.

         After that, about 200 participants of experts, VIPs and Siemens colleagues (from customer support dept. business units, PT4, JV---SFAE, SIAS, SEDL, regions…) shared the Siemens automation products knowledge, application experience… expressing, showing, listening, discussing…For the three day's meeting, there were about 20 internal and external experts had shared their application topics and there were about 20 colleagues from different department such as Customer Support, BUs, PT4 etc. had given their presentations to the meeting related to Siemens new products, AVC(Automation Value Card), ProDIS(Product Information System), Automation and Drives Training and so on. From 4th afternoon to 6th morning, the meeting was broken out to A, B, C sessions, every participant selected the session which he was interested freely. Every attendee felt the spirit of communication between Siemens and expert, between expert and expert.

         On 6th morning, the A, B, C sessions arranged their free discussion for the experts, including Q&A, freely appearing opinion etc. The experts spoke eagerly. They gave a lot of suggestions and ideas about the products, applications customer support & service etc. This kind of communication and discussion shortened the distance between experts and Siemens. The suggestions and ideas will become the drive and fortune of going-ahead. Our Service and Customer Support will do better and better due to the communication.

         Awarding Certification

         On Nov. 6th afternoon, '2004 Siemens Automation Expert' certification's award was memorable to a lot of experts for their career.

         Moderated by Mr. Wang Wei, with music and applause, Mr. Wang Ping, BU representatives and Siemens Germany VIP were invited to award the certification to our experts. And 10 experts' 10 theses were appraised to be 'Best Thesis' from the experts' speech. Mr. Wang Wei announced the 'Best Thesis' list and the awarded gifts to the experts. The music, applause, smile was memorable.

         '2004 Siemens Automation Expert Meeting' lasted three days. Siemens Automation Expert Meeting is not only a pageant in the trade annually but also is a homeland of automation area. 'Expert Service, Service to Experts', we will gain more and more.
