In September 2003, at the 2nd Equipment Manufacturing Fair China held in Shenyang, the touring demonstrating truck of Siemens Totally Integrated Automation in China found favor in eyes of numerous visitors. In order to visit the truck, many visitors spent a very long time queuing. In the middle of October, "Exider" from Siemens A & D arrived at Shenyang and caused a sensation again. The "Exider" demonstrated the application cases and latest solutions of industrial automation to numerous users of Siemens.

Shenyang is not only a central city of northeast China, but alos an important industrial base of China. It plays an outstanding strategic role in the northeast as well as in the rest of China. Shenyang Division of Siemens (China) Ltd. was founded in 1996 and is the business headquarter of Siemens in the three provinces of the northeast and Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. Its business covers automation, medical equipment, communication, home appliance, and lighting, etc. A & D is the largest business department of Shengyang Division. Its key business section, consist already of about 30 employees and is responsible for selling, marketing and service in the above-mentioned section for Automation & Drives products. For transmitting the latest technology in a timely manner to the customers and partners there is also a training center for Automation & Drives products at Shenyang.

A & D has once successfully provided products and solutions to the water supply project to lead water from YING to Da-lian and several reconstruction projects of Anshan Steel Company.
