The present project example shows an application of an override control to a simulated process with two controllers. The aim of this application is to demonstrate different switchover strategies with their respective advantages and disadvantages.

Objective of the ApplicationIn an override control scheme, two or more controllers have to share one actuator. Depending on the actual process conditions a switchover logic decides which controller accesses the actuator i.e., the different controllers can "override" or replace each other.
