最近在论坛/找答案上看到有人问装了新的STARTER V4.3.X到底还需不需要安装DRIVE-ES，
有些不同的说法，为了确定这个问题于是在西门子全球资源网上找了下，发现有这么一段话：
The following functional extensions are available in version V4.3 SP2 compared to the previous version V4.3 SP1 HF2 or HF5:

Provision of the so-called "Drive ES Basic functionality" for MICROMASTER 4 and SINAMICS drives.
With STARTER V4.3 SP2, this SIMATIC STEP7 integration for MICROMASTER 4 and SINAMICS drives is available free-of-charge. Only applies for the relevant drives that are supported by STARTER! Technically, this means that the required object managers (Slave_OM (PROFIBUS) and Device_OM (PROFINET)) are automatically installed for an existing STEP7 full version.

Note on the "Drive ES Basic" software product:
This option package with the MLFBs 6SW1700-5JA00-xAAx, suitable for SIMATIC STEP7 V5.x Classic, is still available subject to cost because, in addition to STARTER, it also contains the drive tools for MASTERDRIVES, SIMOREG and SIMODRIVE drives and a software update service (SUS).

因此从上面的话可以得出结论：
从STARTER V4.3.2以后免费支持一部分DRIVE-ES功能，仅限于对MICROMASTER 4和SINAMICS这两大类驱动的支持，如果装了STEP7 然后装了STARTER v4.3.2及以上版本的STARTER，就可将这两类的驱动项目集成到STEP7中，不需要安装DRIVE-ES BASIC都行。
但如果调试的是MASTERDRIVES, SIMOREG 和SIMODRIVE这类的驱动，要想集成到STEP7里还是得安装DRIVE-ES BASIC。
