 3 Software Requirements
 
The following operating systems are supported:

? MS Windows 2000 Professional SP3 or SP4
? MS Windows XP Professional SP1, SP2 or SP3
? MS Windows Server 2003 standard edition as workstation
? MS Windows Server 2003 SP1 or SP2 standard edition with or without R2 as workstation
? MS Windows Vista 32-bit Ultimate and Business SP1 (release of SP1 with V5.5 SP6)
? MS Windows Server 2008 standard edition as workstation (32 Bit)
? MS Windows 7 32-bit & 64-bit Professional, Ultimate & Enterprise with or without SP1
? MS Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard Server Edition x64 as workstation with or without SP1

Also note the released operating systems required for STEP 7 version.
 The following software packages must be available on the PC or programming device:
? STEP 7 V5.3 + Service Pack 3 or higher
? STEP 7 V 5.4 or higher for use of complete functionality, e.g., expanded password prompt (> STEP 7 V 5.4) or rewiring F-blocks (STEP 7 V 5.4 SP2). Also note the information in the S7 Distributed Safety, Configuring and Programming manual,
