Device Database File (*.GSD)

All the properties of a DP slave are saved in a device master data file or a Generic Station Des cription file (GSD) file. STEP? requires a GSD file for every one of these devices so that they can be selected in the module catalog. GSD files for third-party devices are supplied by the manufacturer.
