Up to now, the data corruption has only occurred with the CP342-5 (6GK7 342-5DA02-0XE0, hardware release 2) in a central rack and in an expansion rack connected by an IM 360/361. The CP342-5 has been configured as DP master in this case. After repeated power OFF/ON, the outputs of the connected DP slaves (ET200L) would be switched on for short pulses, although they had not been set to do so by the user program. There was no signalling to the corresponding communication block (DP_SEND, DP_RECV). In the NCM diagnostics / STEP7 diagnostic buffer, the message "Output length on DP_SEND block too long by xxx bytes. The configured output data length is yyy bytes" would be entered, for instance, even if fixed data lengths had been parameterized on the communication block. In another case, data corruption occurred in connection with S5-compatible communication. The above module was last shipped with hardware release 2 and firmware version 5.1. In view of the fact that we cannot rule out a possible incorrect response of the CP when using other services (e.g. DP slave, S7 communication over loadable blocks), we have decided on a delivery stop until further notice. We are working hard at localizing and eliminating the error, as well as providing a possible workaround. We shall inform you as soon as the delivery stop has been lifted.
